backgroundworkder freeze UI after incorporating codeplex ribbon

I am working on a windows application. I am populating a combobox with bulk records from sql server db. But when I experienced the UI freezing on combobox databind I decided to use backgroundworker after searching internet. After implementing backgroundworker the UI freezing problem solved. Later when I added codeplex ribbon in my application I experienced the UI freezing problem again.
