link textbox to lable when entering data into database

I am after creating a form that will generate a list of people from a database and allow me to assign a number to each person and then enter it back into the database.

Im quite happy with the SQL side im just strugaling with dynamically creating the list. im after the name from the database been a lable then generating a text box associated with the person, I could be returning 10-15 people so would like them showing in something like a list view.

Once I have put a number in every text box id like to click a single button to submit the data back to the database.

Does anyone know how to make the a list with associated textboxes?
